afan Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Common Computer Inc. (“Common Computer”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use afan (the “Services”), where it is kept, and the choices you have. afan is built on public blockchains, so some of what you do is public by design; please read the section on blockchains carefully.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

Account. Your wallet address when you sign in with a wallet, and the signed sign-in message. When you sign in with or link AinDrive, your AinDrive account identifier, name and email address from your AinDrive profile.
Profile. Your username, profile photo, introduction and other details you add.
Content. Photos and other files you upload, captions, hashtags, locations you add, and comments.
Activity. Likes, follows, hidden posts, blocks, reports, invites, ad proposals and Shop listings.
Support. What you tell us when you write to us.

Information from payments

When you pay or get paid in FANCO, we record the transaction hash, the amount, the platform fee, the wallet addresses involved and what the payment was for (a tip, an ad, a Shop artwork or a storage pack). We read these details from the Base blockchain to confirm the payment. We never receive your private keys or recovery phrase.

Information from AinDrive

When you link AinDrive, you let afan use your drive with the permissions you approve: reading your profile and your drives, writing the files you post into an afan folder in your drive, and, if you set up a Shop on AinDrive, managing your sale listings and reading your sales. We use this access only to do what you ask in afan: save and show the files you post, import the photos you pick, and list and sell the artworks you choose. The access tokens are encrypted before they are stored, are used only by our servers, and are deleted when you unlink AinDrive in Settings.

Information collected automatically

Cookies and local storage. A session cookie that keeps you signed in, a cookie that remembers your language, a short-lived cookie that protects the AinDrive sign-in, and local storage that remembers the sign-in method you used last and payments that are still confirming. We do not use advertising cookies.
Logs and errors. Our servers log requests (such as IP address, browser, pages and time), and we use an error-monitoring service (Sentry) that receives technical details when something breaks.

2. Where your information is kept

The AIN blockchain (public)

afan stores its data in the AIN blockchain. Your profile, your posts (their text and links to their photos), comments, likes, follows and payment records are written there. Data on the AIN blockchain can be read by anyone, and earlier versions can remain in the blockchain’s history after you edit or delete something in afan. Secrets, such as AinDrive tokens, are encrypted before they are written.

The Base blockchain (public)

FANCO payments are transactions on the Base network. They are public, permanent and linked to the wallet addresses involved, and they can be seen on block explorers.

Files

Files you post are stored either in your own AinDrive (if you linked it with write access) or in afan storage, which is an AinDrive drive operated by afan. afan serves them through its own addresses. Photos in public posts can be viewed by anyone who has their address.

3. How we use information

to run the Services: sign you in, show your profile and posts, deliver notifications, and store files;
to process and verify payments, apply the platform fee and storage quotas, and deliver Shop downloads;
to keep afan safe: review reports, prevent fraud, spam and abuse, and enforce our Terms;
to fix problems and improve the Services;
to answer you when you contact us, and to tell you about important changes;
to comply with the law.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. How we share information

With everyone: what is public by design, such as your username, profile, public posts and blockchain records.
With other users: when you buy from or sell to someone, or tip them, they can see the payment and your wallet address.
With service providers who help us run afan, such as AinDrive (storage and sign-in), blockchain node and RPC providers, hosting, and error monitoring. They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
For legal reasons, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is needed to comply with the law or a valid legal request, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property or safety of users, the public or us.
In a business transfer, such as a merger or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

5. How long we keep information

We keep account information while your account is open. Content you delete is removed from afan, but records on the AIN and Base blockchains cannot be erased by us. Files in your own AinDrive stay under your control. Files in afan storage are deleted when you delete them or when your account is closed, except where we must keep them (for example, an artwork someone has bought, so that the buyer can still download it) or where the law requires. Server logs are kept for a limited time.

6. Your choices and rights

You can edit your profile, delete your posts, and unlink AinDrive in Settings.
You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser; you will then be signed out.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to close your account, by writing to help@afan.ai. We will answer within the time the law requires. We cannot delete records from public blockchains, but we will stop showing them in afan.

7. Security

We protect your information with measures such as encryption of stored tokens, HTTP-only session cookies and access rules on our database. No system is perfectly secure, and the safety of your wallet depends on how you protect its keys.

8. Children

afan is not for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International users

Common Computer is based in the Republic of Korea. Our service providers and blockchain nodes may be located in other countries, so your information may be processed outside your country.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When a change is significant, we will tell you in the Services before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
